Sven O.E. Ebbesson, PhD, is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Alaska; Senior Scientist at the MedStar Research Institute, Hyattsville, Maryland; and Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery, University of Virginia. Prior to his retirement from the University of Alaska, he served in a variety of positions, including Senior Scientist, United States Public Health Service; Associate Dean of the University of Puerto Rico; Professor of Medical Science and Director of the WAMI Program [a medical education program serving the states of Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho]; and Director of the Alaska Siberia Medical Research Program based at the University of Alaska.
